How to Use Motivational Cards (Repost)

The history of reading cards (cartomancy) dates back to the 1300's. European gypsies used cards to seek guidance about a past, present or future situation. Today, Oracle, Tarot and motivational cards are still a very popular way to seek guidance or to get personal and spiritual inspiration.

Working with cards can give you important clues in a reading. You can weave your impressions together to tell a story—allowing intuitive flow to connect the cards to the situation that is being asked about. There are many ways to use the motivational cards. Some of the most popular are drawing a single card, two cards or using a layout (typically a three card spread).

As you work with these beautifully illustrated card decks, you will practice the Law of Least Effort (simply shuffle the cards and pick one or more at random) and the Law of Intention (focus on the card's message, interpret what it means and how it relates to your life). Here's a great way to prepare for a card reading:

• Meditation - start by drinking a little water, find a quiet place to sit and get comfortable but watch your posture. Concentrate on taking deep breaths in and out through the nose and sit quietly as you do your best to clear your mind of all thoughts.
• Concentrate on the question or situation to which you are seeking guidance.
• Thoroughly shuffle the cards and hold the entire deck near your heart. It wouldn't hurt to say a prayer for divine guidance and clarity.
• Choose your method of drawing the cards--single, double or three card spread.
• Once you have selected your card(s), study them for clues or insight relevant to your situation.

2010 Fragrance Collections (Con't)

Mood Blends: All of the fragrances in this line are exclusive to Amethyst Rising--my original blends. They are formulated with pure, therapeutic essential oils designed to help promote certain psychological characteristics (Abundance, Courage, etc.).

Pure Indulgence: These fragrances are also exclusive to Amethyst Rising and are formulated using all nature-inspired fragrance oils or a combo of fragrance oils & essential oils (Eastern Shore, Urban Cowboy, etc.).

Sweet Treats: Some of these fragrances are currently being used in other products on the market but I've updated them with some of my own unique fragrance mojo! Made entirely with nature-inspired fragrance oils (Coconut Bon Bon, Peppermint Patty, etc.). This line is a little more mainstream and will appeal to those who cannot use essential oils.

I'm still working on refining the collection names (Mood Blends, Pure Indulgence, Sweet Treats) so they are subject to change.

Retired Pampering U Fragrances

The time has come. I've been putting off the inevitable for quite some time now... The cost of label printing has forced us to have to retire some of my products and fragrances. It is really hard letting go as some of these fragrances have been in our lineup since we opened our cyber doors in August 2002. I'm embarrassed to admit that I've been too emotionally attached to let go. Now, I have to deal with the fact that if I don't take action now, it could cost us in the future so here goes:

We have just received our first shipment of Bath&Bloom Natural Bar Soaps (imported from Thailand). They are made using the cold process method with only the finest quality oils, extracts and other natural ingredients. Multiple-Duty Products

In today's economy, many consumers are looking to maximize their spending power and get the most bang for their buck for products and services. Here are a few quick tips for maximizing one of your favorite Pampering U products: CRYSTAL BATH SALTS:

Bathing - Add 2-3 tablespoons of scented Crystal Bath Salts to running bath water. Created with Dead Sea Salts and other natural ingredients, this product helps to stimulate blood and lymphatic circulation, promotes cell regeneration, reduces inflammation in muscles and joints and detoxifies and softens your skin. Pure essential oils impart various therapeutic benefits to the body and mind.

Simmer Fragrance - Add 4 tablespoons of scented Crystal Bath Salts to 1 quart of water and let water slowly simmer on stovetop for up to one hour (for sanitary reasons, we suggest you use an old pot you no longer use for cooking!!). After you have sufficiently scented your room, you can store the water for use at a later time. If you need to revive the fragrant water, just add another tablespoon to the mixture and simmer.

Simmer Fragrance - Add 2 teaspoons of Crystal Bath Salts and 1 tablespoon of water to an oil warmer. Add a lighted tealight candle to the base of the warmer and enjoy subtle fragrance for small spaces. Clean your oil warmer with a mild soap and warm water after each use.

Fragrance Sachet - Add 1/2 cup of Crystal Bath Salts to a small organza bag, silk scarf or nylon knee high and close securely. Place the bag in a lingerie drawer, linen closet, clothes closet, etc. to add gentle fragrance to the area. Once the fragrance dissipates, refresh with a few drops of one of our essential oil blends.

Saying Goodbye to Old Favorites

We're growing and sometimes, with growth, you have to endure growing pains. After careful consideration, we have decided to reduce our core product and fragrance line.

We are discontinuing most of our fragrance oil blend fragrances to concentrate on our original "Moods" synergy blends. We are also discontinuing some of the slower-moving products in our line. This will allow us to focus our energy on improving product packaging, marketing, website and other critical areas of our business.
