Want Peace? Clear that Clutter!

So you’d like to…enjoy increased physical energy, eliminate stress, clear negative or stale energy from your home or increase your money flow? You can achieve all of this and more by simply clearing the clutter in your personal space.

Have you ever heard the saying, “cleanliness is next to Godliness?” Somehow, we miraculously feel better and “lighter of spirit” whenever we clean or perform domestic chores. Like the unexplained calm and grounded feeling you get after you’ve changed your bed linens or organized your home office files.

Try these practical tips to help you declutter and organize your personal space:

~ While you’re wiping down the kitchen counter or dusting your dresser in the bedroom, take a few extra moments to see if there is anything you can eliminate from those surfaces.

~ Get an empty box and place all of the items you no longer need, want or bring you joy in that box. If there are items you feel that have particular sentimental value, consider keeping just a small portion of the item (i.e., a button from a blouse you love but can no longer fit, a picture of you wearing an old favorite coat, etc.) and create a special collage or other craft using the items you want to save.

Find some creative ways to turn your trash into treasures. Scrapbooking, bartering, yard sales and donations are just a few ways you can move some of the "stuff" out of your space. If all else fails, get a digital camera, take pictures of your unwanted items and try to sell them on eBay. :>)

Remember, the key to personal space clearing is to create a space that is free from physical obstacles and that is efficient and esthetically pleasing. Once you feel good about your space you’ll start to feel better about yourself. Then, the universe will pick up on these good vibes and send more abundance your way. It’s the positive life change domino effect. Clean up that space so you can relax and begin to live a happier, healthier existence.

great post! i'm always telling my friends about the importance of clearing the clutter and they just don't get it. i get a spurt of energy when i just remove unwanted pieces from my closet and drawers. it's amazing, really. it took me a while to realize it but whenever i declutter something new almost always comes my way: a call from an old friend, an unexpected parking space or extra money. amazing!

  2. Hi Katie, ahhh, I see you've found one of the secrets to personal peace and manifesting abundance. Good for you! Go easy on your friends, though. Sometimes people aren't ready for advice that will help them--no matter how good it is. Just keep doing what you're doing and lead by example.

There is no question that clutter costs!
There are real consequences to clutter that affect us physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

So is it any wonder that clearing the clutter helps us to feel better on all levels?

Let's put it this way......have you ever seen, or can you even conceive of a cluttered monastery?

People who seek spiritual enlightenment know better than to clutter up their lives and impede their spiritual journey.

  4. Thanks, Beverly, for your comments. It amazes me how some of the world's greatest secrets are not secrets at all. I think the reason a lot of people don't believe that clearing clutter will vastly improve their health and lifestyle is because the concept is too simple.

We (humans) tend to over analyze everything because it makes us feel smart and we think it gives us a competitive edge. Well, if we continue to ignore simple solutions to our problems, how smart are we, really?
