The Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) is associated with Monday, the color VIOLET or white and is connected to our spiritual nature and our capacity to allow spirituality to become an important part of our physical lives. Located at the top of the head, it is also associated with the brain and the nervous system.
We use the crown or seventh chakra as a tool for communicating with our spiritual nature where the ultimate goal is total spiritual enlightenment. It is through this energy center that the life force is dispersed from the universe into the lower six chakras.
When this energy is balanced we can transcend the laws of nature and have total access to the unconscious and the subconscious. When there is deficient violet energy, we may feel immobilized, indecisive and unhappy. Excessive violet energy may lead to feelings of frustration, depression, a sense of unrealized power or a strong sense of empathy--experiencing another person's experience as if you were inside them, being them. We may also experience migraines or headaches and destructive sexual expression.
Physically, the color violet helps with the pituitary gland, endocrine system, lymphatic system, cerebrum and central nervous system.
